Hello! My name is Mrs. Sanchez. This is my second year at Huntington Park High School, where I work with English Learners. I currently teach English Language Development 2 and 3 to 9th through 12th-grade students. Before joining the HP family, I held various classroom positions, including high school continuation teacher, substitute teacher, and paraprofessional. These diverse roles have brought me great joy and deepened my passion for helping students reach their highest potential. I am dedicated to ensuring my students' success. I began my education at East Los Angeles Community College, where I earned my Associate of Arts degree. I then transferred to California State University, Los Angeles, where I received my Bachelor's degree in English and my teaching credential. Recently, I obtained my preliminary administrative credential and am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. My goal is to move into an administrative role and lead a school to success. I believe that learning is a lifelong process, and students deserve the highest quality education. At HPHS, we are committed to providing that level of education. Our dedicated staff members ensure that students are taught effectively, and I am devoted to continuing this mission. I am particularly committed to working with English Learners to help them develop the skills and tools they need to reclassify as English Proficient and become college and career ready.
