ELA 10th (Period Period 7)

The purpose of this class is to provide a balanced language arts program that explores literary concepts, themes, and genres. A series of language activities will enable students to listen, speak, think, and write effectively about literature and to connect what they read to other academic disciplines and their own experiences. Through California Content Standards and Common Core State Standards-aligned units that focus on world and American literature, students explore central issues, discuss meaning, and argue interpretations. English 10A/B meets the basic English requirement for graduation and UC/CSU eligibility.
