Marching Band

_{HPHS AWARD-WINNING MARCHING BAND AND COLORGUARD}

_{The Huntington Park Marching Band is the largest performing ensemble on campus. The band is made up of not only instrumental players, but also members of the colorguard. The focus of this ensemble is on learning a wide variety of marching band literature and contemporary marching techniques. No experience in marching is necessary to join! We accept any student who is interested.}

_{Students in the Marching Band and Colorguard will sign up for the class "Marching Dynamics" which will count for their PE credit. We encourage students to stay in the band all four years of high school to grow, learn, and make many close friends and relationships that last beyond high school.}

_{The Marching Band performs numerous times throughout the fall. The marching band performs at all home football games, away games, pep rallies, and several marching competitions.} 

_{For the past three years, the marching band and colorguard have placed in the top 3 spots at multiple marching band competitions across southern California.} 

_{This year we took home 3rd place Band and 1st Place Colorguard at the LAUSD Beyond the Bell Marching Band Championships.}

_{Marching Band class is after school and counts for your PE credit. Speak to Ms. Anthony or your counselor to sign up!}
